Tulfo Brothers Suspended by TV5, their Show ‘T3? Suspended by MTRCB

While the Tulfo Brothers–Erwin, Ben and Raffy–received suspension notice from TV5 on Wednesday, their show “T3: Kapatid Sagot Kita” on the other hand, was suspended by the Movie Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) starting today.

According to TV5 Corporate Public Relations Officer Peach Vibal-Guoguio, the Tulfo brothers, Erwin, Raffy, and Ben have been suspended as of May 9 after they uttered threats against celebrity couple Raymart Santiago and Claudine Barretto on national television last Monday (CLICK HERE FOR RELATED ARTICLE).

Yesterday, their eldest brother Mon Tulfo–the one involved in the infamous melee at the NAIA last Sunday–together with Martin Andanar, and Atty. Mel Sta. Maria temporarily replaced the 3 younger Tulfos as T3 hosts.

However, the show itself was suspended too! The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) just meted a 20-day suspension on “T3: Kapatid, Sagot Kita” starting today, May 10.

And the ground for suspension? Presidential Decree 1986, “for airing scenes and utterances that are indecent and contrary to law, or with a dangerous tendency to encourage the commission of violence, or of a wrong or crime.”

TV5 Takes Action On Tulfo Brothers’ Threat Aired On National TV

People were outraged after watching the Tulfo brothers issuing their threat on Claudine Barretto and Raymart Santiago on national TV yesterday. TV5 quickly took action and released its official statement.

“News5 assures the public and all parties concerned that the statements made by the Tulfo brothers brothers in its program, T3, last May 7, 2012, were unscripted, spontaneous, and do not in any way reflect the stand nor the policy of the network, its management, staff and employees. While we understand the emotions at play during the broadcast, News5 does not and will never condone such behavior. It was not only uncalled for but runs counter to the established Code of Ethics that we all strictly adhere to.

We are taking necessary actions to deal with this lapse in judgment on the part of the Tulfo brothers and assure the public that we remain committed to objective and impartial journalism.” (Source: TV5)

Meanwhile, Erwin Tulfo issued his own apology about their threats on TV.

Tulfo Brothers (T3) Threaten Raymart and Claudine on National Television (Video)

Tulfo Brothers Ben, Raffy and Erwin, via their TV5 program “T3?, aired their digust on Raymart Santiago and Claudine Barretto for the fist-fight incident with their brother Mon at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 on Sunday.

The Tulfo Brothers used the opportunity in the segment “Kapatid, Sagot Kita” of their afternoon public service program “T3? to air their disgust on Raymart and Claudine and threaten the celebrity couple for their revenge.

Ben Tulfo, the oldest of the Tulfo Brothers, started off saying that they will be very careful in what they are about to say and asked the public to “read his lips.”

“Ito mahirap para sa amin. At madaling magsalita baka madulas kami.

After Ben, Raffy Tulfo, the second oldest of T3 continued the message and ended his piece with a “P.I.”

Ganunpaman I’m very proud of my Kuya may tinamaan sa inyo. Swerte lang kayo dahil ang dami nyo,” he said.

Then Raffy invoked a threat on Raymart:

P.I. ka!”

Lastly, the youngest among the T3–Erwin Tulfo–concluded the message tagging Raymart and Claudine as liars and ended with another threat, but this time, Claudine is included in the threat:

Apat kame vs. walo kayo,” he said.
