Young actress Shaina Magdayao confirmed that it’s over between her and John Pratts.
“Opo,” was Shaina’s curt reply on “Showbiz News Ngayon” when asked if she had broken up with the dancer-actor.
The actress divulged that they split just before Christmas “[at] gaya ng lahat ng break-up, hindi siya maayos.”
She emphasized, however, that they are doing all they can to save their friendship.
Shaina shot down speculations that a third party—specifically, Denise Laurel who was linked to John recently— caused the breakup.
“Ay wala, wala pong third party. I think if there’s one to blame, siguro kaming dalawa ni John ‘yon. ‘Wag na tayong mangdamay ng ibang tao,” said she.
The actress may be loveless nowadays but her career is in full swing. She recently renewed her ties with ABS-CBN with the contract signing attended by her manager Johnny Manahan of Star Magic, ABS-CBN channel head Cory Vidanes and business unit head Deo Endrinal.
Shaina is being paired up anew with Jake Cuenca in “Rubi,” a Pinoy adaptation of a Mexicanovela which stars Angelica Panganiban in the lead role.
“Ako ang isa sa aapihin ng bida-kontrabida dito na si Rubi. Magugustuhan ito ng fans dahil ito ang follow-up project namin ni Jake Cuenca. It’s the first time na magpe-pair up ako with Diether Ocampo,” Shaina explained about her role.
